FAQ

Cabinet Cooling Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is cabinet cooling?
Cabinet cooling is a dedicated cooling system designed to protect the equipment inside electrical panels and control cabinets from excessive heat. By keeping the internal temperature under control, it ensures the safe operation of electronic components.
2. Which capacity should I choose?
Capacity selection depends on the total heat load inside the cabinet (W), the ambient temperature and the cabinet dimensions. Rule of thumb: a cooling capacity of about 70–80% of the total power consumption of all devices is sufficient. Contact our technical team for a free calculation.
3. What is the difference between IP54 and IP55?
IP54: partial protection against dust from all directions and protection against splashing water from any direction. IP55: the same dust protection plus protection against low-pressure water jets. IP55 is preferred for outdoor and humid environments.
4. What is the difference between INDOOR and OUTDOOR mounting?
INDOOR models are made for cabinets in enclosed, climate-controlled areas. OUTDOOR models are designed to withstand outdoor conditions (rain, sun, dust) and have a higher IP class.
5. How is it installed?
Most models are mounted on the side or door of the cabinet using standard screw holes. A mounting template and connection instructions are included. Klimexs technical service also provides installation and commissioning support.
6. Is periodic maintenance required?
Yes. We recommend filter cleaning, condenser unit inspection and condensate drain line inspection at least twice a year. Regular maintenance significantly extends product life and efficiency.
7. How long is the warranty?
Klimexs cabinet coolers come with a standard 2-year manufacturer warranty. After-sales technical support and the supply of original spare parts are provided with factory assurance.
